Un examen f\u00edsico del DOT ayuda a determinar si un conductor est\u00e1 f\u00edsica, mental y emocionalmente apto para operar un CMV.<\/p>\n<p>Si es un conductor comercial, es un empleado &#8220;sensible a la seguridad&#8221;. Y para su seguridad y la seguridad del p\u00fablico, la FMCSA requiere que complete y apruebe un examen f\u00edsico DOT para mantener una licencia de conducir comercial (CDL) v\u00e1lida.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QU\u00c9 ESPERAR DURANTE UN DOT F\u00cdSICO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante un examen f\u00edsico DOT, un CME verificar\u00e1 sus signos vitales, revisar\u00e1 su historial m\u00e9dico y realizar\u00e1 un examen f\u00edsico pr\u00e1ctico requerido que incluye (pero no se limita a):<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet col2\">\n<li>Apariencia general<\/li>\n<li>Ojos<\/li>\n<li>O\u00eddos<\/li>\n<li>Boca y garganta<\/li>\n<li>Coraz\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Pulmones y pecho<\/li>\n<li>Extremidades<\/li>\n<li>Sistema nervioso<\/li>\n<li>Hernias<\/li>\n<li>Espalda y columna<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El CME le emitir\u00e1 un certificado de examinador m\u00e9dico (MEC), tambi\u00e9n llamado tarjeta m\u00e9dica del DOT, cuando cumpla con los requisitos f\u00edsicos del DOT. Sin una tarjeta m\u00e9dica v\u00e1lida del DOT, puede perder su CDL.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de 2023, los conductores de CMV con diabetes mellitus tratada con insulina (tipo 1 o tipo 2) y\/o visi\u00f3n monocular deben cumplir con est\u00e1ndares actualizados para ser certificados. Los formularios para estas exenciones deben completarse al menos 45 d\u00edas antes de que se realice el examen DOT.<\/p>\n<figure><img src=\"https:\/\/www.psychiatryandbeyond.com\/wp-content\/themes\/psychiatricandez759\/images\/thumbnails\/thumb-1220051077.jpg\" class=\"thumb_right_dd\" alt=\"doctor and patient\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>\u00bfNECESITO UN DOT F\u00cdSICO?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Debe completar y aprobar un examen f\u00edsico DOT si:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet\">\n<li>Opera un veh\u00edculo motorizado para el comercio interestatal con una clasificaci\u00f3n de peso bruto combinado, clasificaci\u00f3n de peso bruto del veh\u00edculo o peso bruto combinado de m\u00e1s de 10,000 libras.<\/li>\n<li>Opera un veh\u00edculo de motor dise\u00f1ado para transportar m\u00e1s de 15 personas.<\/li>\n<li>Se le paga por operar un veh\u00edculo de motor dise\u00f1ado para transportar a m\u00e1s de ocho personas.<\/li>\n<li>Transporta materiales peligrosos que requieran que su veh\u00edculo est\u00e9 rotulado.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Un examen f\u00edsico DOT es un examen de salud exigido por la FMCSA para los conductores de veh\u00edculos motorizados comerciales (CMV).
